This is going to be a short blog for today, but I will probably add to it. I am just so turned on by a new magazine by The Fellowship of St. James, called SALVO, that I have to write about it. You can see their web page if you go down to my blogs on my page.
Salvo is a small, but up and coming magazine that appeals to all ages, but particularly to young people. It is a response to the lies with which we are inundated on a daily basis in our cuture. They use fake advertisements to illustrate cultural myths and trends. This magazine is not for the faint of heart or the squeamish, nor, I would expect, for anyone who doesn't care to question the prevailing winds in the USA.
It is smart, it is cutting edge, and it is uncompromising in identifying the negative influences bombarding us in the guise of entertainment, advertising, and pseudo-scientific enquiry.
Salvo's mission statement is Changing the Culture One Reader at a Time.
I encourage you all to visit their web site. I support them with a monthly contribution because they are a voice in the wilderness. It is a voice that needs to be heard.
