There are some people who just cannot hide their light under a bushel. Tony Snow was one of those men. I never met him, but I felt I knew who he was and what he was about. I greatly admired him, and his loss is deeply felt, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Would that we all could leave this world with the sense that we made a difference. Here was a true 'uniter,' for even those who disagreed with his philosophy could not find it in their hearts to hate this man. What a legacy. Here's my puny tribute to Tony Snow. Based on the Christmas Carol "Let It Snow" by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne.
Tony Snow
All together he was insightful
But his smile was so delightful
And we all admired him so.
Tony Snow, Tony Snow, Tony Snow
It doesn't seem fair to lose him
'Cause Bush was right to choose him.
But God has him now, we know.
Tony Snow, Tony Snow, Tony Snow
When he finally shared his plight
How we prayed he could weather the storm!
And we hate that he lost the fight
All of us share as we mourn
The shock is slowly dying,
And we all are still good-bying
His integrity surely showed
Tony Snow, Tony Snow, So-Long, Snow.
