I borrowed the following stats from my favorite newsletter the Patriot Post. It is a great read and there is a link on my page if you'd like to read the whole issue. No parody today. Just requests for your prayers and honor for our Veterans. My prayer is that for one day, every American will set aside their petty bickering about politics and think about the cost of building and maintaining our wonderful nation. Thanks Vets! Thanks to all the military families out there too. You stand in our stead for the cause of freedom.
Honor our Veterans : 11th Month, 11th Day, 11th Hour
Today, nearly 24 million (eight percent) of our countrymen are veterans. Of those, 33 percent served in Vietnam, 18 percent in the Gulf War, 14 percent in WWII and 13 percent in Korea. About three percent served in Iraq and Afghanistan and other counter-terrorism theaters. More than 25 percent of those veterans suffer some disability.
Please pause 1100 EST this Sunday to pray for all our veterans.
